Debra Klebacha
Instructor
Ms. Klebacha is a Forensic Scientist in the Biology/DNA section of the Illinois State Police with over 15 years of case work experience. She began her career specializing in the identification of body fluids from crime scene evidence and subsequently received training in DNA analysis and profile interpretation. In her current role as an Alternate CODIS Administrator, Ms. Klebacha uploads DNA profiles into the State and National DNA databases, evaluates associations to offender profiles and other crime scene evidence profiles, and provides investigative leads to law enforcement agencies. Ms. Klebacha has testified as an expert witness in over 40 criminal cases.
Education
Ms. Klebacha received her B.S. in Biochemistry from The Ohio State University in 2006 and her M.S. in Forensic Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2008.

Ms. Klebacha is an Associate member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS).
